    Background

I am a voice expert and a researcher at the McGovern Institute / Media Lab at MIT. I studied the voice beyond words to create experiences within individuals, between people, and across species. My work spans from assistive technologies to vocal experiences design. My research connects various fields, including sensor technologies, wearable computing, design, HCI, neurology, clinical research, and psychology.

I have developed unique expertise in the study, analysis, and understanding of the human voice. My research aspiration is to push the boundaries and create more healthy and meaningful technologies with and for the voice. I accomplish this using approaches that include AI, virtual reality, rapid prototyping, projection mapping, real-time digital signal processing, wearable technologies, and robotics. See examples ranging from a projection ball gown to a memory music box to assistive devices for people who stutter on my portfolio.
