Background
Dr. Yuwen (Iris) Hung has been a scholar at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT in collaboration with the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Before working at McGovern, Dr. Hung received her postdoctoral training in the Neurosurgery Department and Neuroscience Center at the University of Toronto teaching hospital, St. Michael’s Hospital, in Toronto. Throughout her career, Dr. Hung has worked to understand brain dysfunctions in children and adults with autism, ADHD, and mood disorders, as well as people with brain injuries or other neurological conditions such as memory loss and aging. Her research uses leading-edge multimodal neuroimaging methods, including fMRI, MRI, DTI, and MEG. Currently, she is a research consultant for the lab while practicing as a licensed clinical psychologist and counselor in the United States.
