Background
The director will focus on the application of basic cognitive neuroscience to improve academic outcomes, such as reading and math, in school-age children. The director will have several responsibilities including leading specific research projects, fomenting the development of novel curricula, managing the lab’s relationships with schools and standardizing the applied techniques used by the initiative to achieve its mission efficiently while taking into account the diverse needs of scientists, educators, and study participants.
The director will create a supportive, collaborative lab environment and an infrastructure that facilitates cross-study integration of the lab’s reading-related research.
