    Background

Dhritiman is a postdoctoral research associate working on the nobrainer project – a deep-learning library being developed for the processing and analysis of 3D MRI brain volumes.

His research interests span across deep learning, computer vision, signal processing and distributed learning with a focus on medical image and signal analysis. This includes applications across various imaging modalities such as brain imaging (MR and MR Spectroscopy), cardiac MRI and computed tomography to address challenges such as: image classification and segmentation, disease prediction, parameter quantification, fluid-flow analysis among others.

Previously, he obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, while also working with the MR group at GE Healthcare on developing machine-learning methods towards accelerating MR Spectroscopic Imaging. He has received his M.S. degree in Bioengineering from the Arizona State University- with his thesis work focusing on developing optical-flow based methods for minimizing divergence in cardiac fluid-flow data- and his B.E. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Manipal University, India.
