The ASD/ADHD study is investigating the connections between Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in children.
ADHD is the most common psychiatric disorder diagnosed in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but little is known about the neural similarities and differences between children with ASD comorbid with ADHD and those with ASD or ADHD alone. This study aims to investigate these neural differences using neuroimaging techniques and behavioral measurements. By comparing children (ages 8 to 17), we hope to discover connections between ADHD and autism in order to help treat children with these conditions more effectively.
What is my commitment?
Total time commitment is about 2 hours in one session at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
