Background
Sidney is a first-year doctoral student in the Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology program in the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. Prior to attending Boston College, she received her B.A. in Psychology from Tufts University in 2015. Sidney is interested in how parent, teacher, and student beliefs about ability impact children’s motivation, persistence, and academic achievement—particularly among children who are members of stigmatized groups. In her free time, Sidney enjoys hiking, camping, and cooking.
