Background
Debanjan’s research looks into the use of contextual knowledge or pragmatics in natural language understanding. He has worked on identifying and interpreting figurative languages such as verbal irony and argument mining. Currently, he is investigating how semantic knowledge is represented in the brain and the role of context in decoding such semantic knowledge.
